What Is It?
Sketches Pro is a painting program that gives you a ton of tools and brushes. Since my artistic skills are stuck in the stick figure stage, I couldn’t do much testing here. I wasn’t even sure about the difference between the tools.
Despite my limitations, I still had some fun just doodling with it. I generally use Penultimate for the iPad for stuff like this. Unlike Penultimate, Sketches Pro works on both the iPad and iPhone.
Who Is It Good For?
Obviously, someone with some artistic leanings! Unfortunately, I’m an artistic black hole. There is such a vacuum of skills in me, I suck out all the skills around me. Self-deprecation aside, I think this app is great for kids. This app is an acceptable substitute when you can’t give them a piece of paper and some crayons to work with.
Should You Download It?
The app loads fine on my iPhone 5s. Reading the reviews, some older versions of the program ran too slow on older devices. For this latest free version, looks like they fixed that. The app takes up just about 125 MB. I’m keeping it on my iPhone and iPad. It will keep the kids busy while waiting for their food. Should I suddenly bang my head and develop art skills, this app will help me take advantage of that moment of brilliance! Comment Name * Email *
