To find the version of iPhoto you have installed, click iPhoto » About iPhoto.
The version you’re running will display. Here I’m running 8.1.2 – an upgrade is required.
Open the Apple Mac Store and search for iPhoto.
Because the upgrade is from version 8 it’s not free. Click Buy.
Wait while iPhoto ‘11 installs. It will take several minutes – the download is 727MB.
When the new version is done installing, relaunch iPhoto. A message will come up saying the photo library needs upgraded. Click Upgrade.
From the Menu bar click iPhoto » Preferences.
You’ll now see the Photo Stream icon is now available. Check all three options to enable Photo Stream, Automatic Import and Automatic Upload.
In iCloud setup Photo Streaming is now available.
You’ll have to purchase the latest version of iPhoto it to get Photo Streaming to work with OS X. But now the Photo Streaming feature will work with your iDevices and your Mac.
Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks. Comment Name * Email *
